Next Gen Player No. 5 – Andrey Rublev

Returning finalist Rublev is the only player in the field to have played at the Next Gen Finals last year. Considering the Russian missed the middle of the year with a back injury, he did very well to make it to Milan.

At the first event of the year in Qatar, he reached the final where he lost out to Gaël Monfils. He also had a good run in Washington when he lost to fellow Next Gen star Alex de Minaur in one of the best matches this year. The 21-year-old lost to Hyeon Chung in the final last year, so he will be looking to make it one better this time.
