Next Gen Player No. 2 – Alex de Minaur

Known as ‘demon’ by his fans, the 19-year-old Aussie is the youngest player at this year’s event. He has had a meteoric rise up the rankings, having started the year outside the top 200 to finish at 31. Since breaking into the top 100 in June, he hasn’t looked back with finals in Washington and Sydney.

He has Australian legend Llyeton Hewitt as a coach and it’s easy to make comparisons with his playing style. De Minaur’s hustling style will make him a difficult opponent at the event this year with a real possibility of him winning it.
