Next Gen Player No. 1 – Stefanos Tsitsipas

The top seed at this year’s event is Greek star Stefanos Tsitsipas. Currently ranked at 14, the 20-year-old burst on to the scene in Barcelona where he reached the final, losing to Rafael Nadal. He followed this with another final showing in Toronto where an incredible run saw him beat Dominic Thiem, Novak Djokovic, Alex Zverev and Kevin Anderson before losing to Nadal in the final.

He then lifted his first ATP singles title, in Stockholm where he beat Ernests Gulbis in the final. Tsitsipas should be considered as faverite for the title in Milan this year, his measured and powerful play is quite similar to Chung who won last year.
