International Premier Tennis League: Preview and Stadiums
The International Premier Tennis League gets under way on Friday 28th November, with the four franchises each hosting three days of the event. Each team will play against each other at every venue, leading to a total of twelve matches at each venue. Take a look at where the action will take place over the coming weeks:
1) Philippines – Mall of Asia Arena
Dates: 28th Nov – 30th Nov
At a capacity of up to 20,000 spectators, the Mall of Asia Arena was the first choice venue for the tennis when the International Premier Tennis League was planned at the start of the year. This will be the venue of the first three days of action of the IPTL, with the Manila Mavericks being the home team and likely receiving the strongest support.
2) Singapore – Singapore Indoor Stadium
Dates: 2nd Dec – 4th Dec
This beautiful venue is the second stop for the teams competing in the International Premier Tennis League, with the Singapore Slammers being the home team for the three days. The indoor stadium is locared in Kallang, Singapore and will provide a fantastic setting for the tennis stars to entertain the crowds.
3) Delhi – Indira Gandhi Arena
Dates: 6th Dec – 8th Dec
Located at the Indraprastha Estate in New Delhi, the third venue in the International Premier Tennis League is set to be the Indira Gandhi Arena. The indoor stadium is actually the largest in India and the third largest on the continent and will provide a sizeable venue for tennis fans looking to support the Indian Aces franchise. The global worship of Roger Federer will expand even further as the Swiss legend will be leading the Delhi franchise indoors, where he is so lethal.
4) Dubai – Hamdan Sports Complex
Dates: 11th Dec – 13th Dec
The final stop on the International Premier Tennis League tour is the Hamdan Sports Complex in Dubai. With it’s bright lights and space for up to 15,000 spectators, you can be sure of a thrilling climax to the IPTL. The UAE Royals will complete there schedule with home ties against the other three sides and will be hoping to secure the title in front of their home support.
