ATP Tennis Power Rankings: Jan. 5, 2015

Last year, for the first time since 2003, two grand slam titles were won by players other than the Big Four. Are Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Andy Murray loosening their grip on the top of the tennis world? Many of the top players will be in action in Brisbane, Chennai, and Doha this week. As we head into the 2015 season, check out our ATP Tennis Power Rankings below.

Have something to say about the rankings? Is your favorite player rated too low? Leave your thoughts in the comments section!

(Note: Power Rankings are different than the ATP Rankings. ATP Rankings reflect a players performance over the past 52 weeks while the Power Rankings combine the player’s performance and potential at a given moment during the season.)

Gulbis finally reached his potential and then some by reaching the semis at the French Open. Gulbis polarizing character has not earned him too much fanfare, but wins over Federer, Cilic, Tsonga, and Berdych prove that he is a force to be reckoned with. Top players should not take him lightly.
