Dark Horse – Sabine Lisicki

For eleven months of the year, Sabine Lisicki looks nothing like a potential Grand Slam winner.

However, more often than not, by the time Wimbledon comes around, the German seems to have all the tools required to lift the trophy at the end of the London fortnight.

She reached the final in 2013, where nerves hampered her assault on the title as Marion Bartoli claimed her only Slam triumph, and she has caused many upsets over the years at SW19.

She is certainly the player outside of the main contenders that you would back on going all the way.
