Kevin Anderson – It has been a break out event for the South African, who beat Andy Murray and made it past the fourth round of a major for the first time. The doubts lingering from Wimbledon will have been significant, so to overcome that and play some incredible tennis is truly admirable.

Novak Djokovic

– What more can be said about Djokovic over the last few years? He is so incredibly dominant, even though the US Open has never been his strongest event. He has lost four finals in New York and will look to win his second title on Sunday.

He cruises through Grand Slam draws like no other. I feel like his mere presence in one half of the draw is enough to engender upsets, as players feel like even if they make it deep in the event, they won’t get past him. This makes his path seems easier than it is when it comes out of the hat.

Roger Federer – Federer might well be playing some of the best tennis in his career, to the point where I think he has a real chance to win his first major since 2012. The SABR may not actually be the most effective tactic for purely winning points, but the mental aspect is huge and very clever.
