I really could leave this slide blank as to why he is the top contender for the title. Djokovic has won this title five times already, including in 2015 over Andy Murray. Before that, he won the tournament in 2012 in the epic final over Rafael Nadal and also in 2013 (Murray), 2011 (also Murray), and 2008 (Tsonga).

So what else is there for Djokovic to accomplish?  I’d say to keep winning and try to catch Federer and thus (possibly) eclipse him as the greatest player ever.  Can he do it?  It’s certainly possible and it all starts this tournament.

Djokovic would have to face Federer in the semifinals if the seeds hold. In some ways, that is a good thing, as he would not have to face his nemesis Stan Wawrinka in the semifinals. I really just cannot envision anybody but Djokovic taking this title.  He owns this tournament and will likely add one more title to his collection.
