The 6’10 Isner has one huge (no pun intended) advantage: his serve. It truly is huge and makes almost any match winnable for Isner. He’s not (completely) a one-dimensional player as he has bettered his backhand in recent years and has a decent forehand.  That being said, he can totally dominate a matchup with his serve.

Yes, I do realize that he has never gone further than the quarterfinals at a major and has never gone further than the fourth round in Australia.  That being said, he is currently ranked eleventh and I think that he has a chance to go far in this tournament.  It’s a hardcourt so it suits his massive serve well.  If he strings together a few great matches and gets some luck, he could make a big run. Not saying he will win, just saying he has the 10th-best chance to do so.
