With the Miami Open in full swing, I think that now is a good time to take a look at the top five stories of the 2016 tennis season.

The 2016 tennis season has been a good and interesting one.  Without a doubt, this has been a big season already, filled with a lot of news both on and off the court.

Some of it has been positive while some of it has not been so positive.  Overall, though, I think that that’s to be expected with any sport.  You take your positives with the negatives but you still like the sport.

In terms of this list, I could have gone in almost any order with the events because I think they’re all very important to tennis news in their own way.
