Madison Keys is a crucial part of the future generation in women’s tennis. After a stellar 2016 WTA Tour, Keys is poised for a strong 2017 season.
Madison Keys made her WTA Finals debut in 2016.
The season-ending tournament was a fitting sendoff for Keys. Her performances throughout the year proved that she is a rising star in the sport of tennis.
At just 21-years-old, Keys has plenty of time to make a name for herself. She has, however, already burst onto the scene as one of the young stars in women’s tennis.

In terms of Americans in the sport, she is arguably the next big star besides Serena Williams. While Williams will go down as possibly the greatest to ever play the sport, Keys is 14 years her junior.
Keys is searching for her first ever Grand Slam title. After a 2015 season that saw her earn a semifinals appearance at the Australian Open, she kept up the momentum and played well in major tournaments throughout both 2015 and 2016.
Her 2016 season included her best ever run at the French Open, a fourth round birth. She would also go on to her second ever fourth round appearance at the US Open.
Madison Keys is now a player to watch in major tournaments.
Keys is currently ranked number 8 on the WTA Tour. Look for her to take her second half of 2016 momentum right into her January tournaments. Recent successes in Australia make her a strong contender for a deep run at the 2017 Australian Open. 2017 will be the year that Madison Keys makes her first ever Grand Slam finals appearance.
