Nick Kyrgios comes clean about 2016, therapy, next season

Nick Kyrgios is speaking out about his time away from tennis. The young Australian tennis player is optimistic about his upcoming season.
Nick Kyrgios is back in the spotlight. Despite ending his 2016 season early due to on-court misbehavior, the young Australian tennis star sees the year as a successful one and is looking forward to 2017.
The 21-year-old Kyrgios told Fox Sports Australia that 2016 “had a lot of highs, a lot of lows.”

2017 is rapidly approaching. The first major tournament of the year is the Australian Open where Kyrgios will be a fan favorite.
In his time away from the sport in late 2016, Kyrgios agreed to see a sports psychologist. The experience appears to have been a positive one for the young tennis star.
Kyrgios used his time away from competitive play to work on himself and spend time with his girlfriend and family. He has also been training in preparation for the upcoming 2017 ATP World Tour. Andy Murray enters the upcoming season as world No. 1.
Competition will be extremely competitive at the first major tournament of 2017. While Kyrgios has been away from the court for crucial season-ending tournaments, he should be ready to go when he returns. The young tennis player sees 2016 as successful. Kyrgios did help bring Australia back into the world group of the Davis Cup and won 3 singles titles.
On his time away from the court, Kyrgios said that “It just gave me time to think about and analyze everything I’ve got to get better at.” The tennis world hopes that his head is in the right place. His on and off the court antics are always entertaining, but the 21-year-old Australian has a lot of talent to contribute to the sport. He has performed well in all four Grand Slams in previous years and cannot be taken lightly by any other player.
