Roger Federer brought home yet another Grand Slam title at the Australian Open one month ago. He is now gearing up for play in Dubai.

Roger Federer has an impressive record at the Dubai Tennis Championships. The Swiss tennis superstar took home the title in three of the last five years.

His most recent victory, in 2015, came over Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic.

Federer and Djokovic have largely dominated the tournament over the past decade.

The defending champion this year, however, is Stan Wawrinka.

Wawrinka, who is 7-2 so far in 2017, is the current world No. 3. He is making moves to rise in the rankings this year, but he must now concern himself with fellow Swiss player, Roger Federer.

At 35-years-old, Federer is back in the top 10 and appears to be playing some of his best tennis. He credits his success to his love for the sport, disciplined routines, and a well-balanced life on and off the court. It is clear that the Swiss player is not finished with tennis just yet.

The other player to watch in Dubai is Andy Murray.

The world No. 1 saw a surprising defeat in the round of sixteen at this year’s Australian Open. Murray then took time off, including several days without any tennis, in order to recover. He too, is now eyeing Dubai at the end of February. The world No. 1 is also expected to play in Great Britain’s Davis Cup meeting with France. His upcoming months will be packed with competitive action.

Roger Federer is no stranger to the Dubai Tennis Championships. A previous champion, he will be a strong contender at the tournament despite others such as Murray and Wawrinka in the mix. Look for the Swiss tennis superstar to make a run for the title in Dubai.
