Bouchard is the current world No. 56.

She saw early exits in each of her previous four tournaments coming into Indian Harbour Beach. Despite falling in the quarterfinals, her performance at the ITF Revolution Technologies Pro Tennis Classic is a positive sign for Bouchard.

After winning her opening round match in three sets, the Canadian tennis player cruised through the round of 16 without dropping a set. She then would fall to American tennis player Victoria Duval in the quarterfinals.

Duval defeats Eugenie Bouchard in straight sets, winning 6-0, 6-3.

While Bouchard was the top seeded player at Indian Harbour Beach, her two opening round victories were critical for her momentum moving forward. Having reached as high as the world No. 5, the 23-year-old tennis player must get back on track in 2017 if she hopes to return to the WTA top 10. Look for Eugenie Bouchard to improve her play in the coming months.
