Laura Siegemund wins her first ever title at the Women’s Stuttgart Open. She defeats Kristina Mladenovic in the finals to earn the victory.
Laura Siegemund wins the 2017 Women’s Stuttgart Open.
She finished runner-up to Angelique Kerber in the 2016 iteration of the event. Now, the German tennis player claims victory and earns her second career WTA title.

She defeats Kristina Mladenovic in the finals. It is her first ever WTA Premier title.
Mladenovic upset Kerber and Maria Sharapova, among others, in order to advance to the finals. Siegemund defeated the likes of Simona Halep, Karolina Pliskova, and Svetlana Kuznetsova throughout her run.
The German tennis player wins the finals meeting in three sets. She takes the match 6-1, 2-6, 7-6 (7-5).
Siegemund, who is the current world No. 49, put on a fantastic display of tennis throughout her run at the Women’s Stuttgart Open. She is without a doubt someone to watch in the coming weeks.
