Eugenie Bouchard at the 2014 Wimbledon Championships

Genie had a stellar run at the 2014 Wimbledon Championships.

The young Canadian reached her first ever Grand Slam singles final at the tournament. Throughout her run at Wimbledon, she defeated the likes of Daniela Hantuchova, Sílvia Soler Espinosa, Andrea Petkovic, Alize Cornet, and Angelique Kerber. In doing so, Bouchard did not drop a single set.

Already having a strong year in 2014, Bouchard reached career heights at Wimbledon.

Despite losing to Petra Kvitova in the finals 6-3, 6-0, the tournament was huge for Bouchard. Kvitova won her second career title at Wimbledon, but it was clear that the young Canadian could play in the major tournaments.
