Jelena Ostapenko remains undefeated against Caroline Wozniacki by defeating the former world No. 1 at the Prague Open. She is seeking her first WTA singles title.
Jelena Ostapenko is poised to win her first WTA singles title.
The 19-year-old Latvian tennis player already has 7 ITF singles, 2 WTA doubles, and 8 ITF doubles titles to her name. She remains alive with a chance to earn her first WTA singles title at the 2017 Prague Open.

Ostapenko is undefeated against Caroline Wozniacki. She is now 3-0 in her career against the Danish tennis star.
The former world No. 1 was set to reenter the WTA’s top 10 before the young Latvian tennis player upset her yet again. In an epic three-set match, Ostapenko outlasts Wozniacki. She wins 5-7, 6-3, 7-6 (7-5).
In a match that could have gone either way numerous times, Ostapenko managed an impressive 70 winners amidst her resilient victory over the second seeded Wozniacki. The early round loss is a disappointment for the Danish tennis player.
The young Latvian tennis player, on the other hand, can take advantage of her newfound momentum in Prague. Earlier in the year, she reached the finals at Charleston. She is now the current world No. 50 in women’s singles tennis.
Up next for Jelena Ostapenko is Ana Konjuh of Croatia. She is the seventh seeded player in Prague this week. The 19-year-old Ostapenko will have to dig deep yet again and upset another seeded player. Stay tuned to see how she fares at the 2017 Prague Open.
