Caroline Wozniacki is back in the WTA single’s top 10. The former world No. 1 is surging in early 2017 and looks to continue her strong play.

Caroline Wozniacki reenters the WTA singles top 10 this week.

The Danish tennis star is a former world No. 1. She is playing fine tennis so far in 2017 and looks to remain a contender for the rest of the year.

Wozniacki is now the current world No. 10 in women’s singles tennis.

With a 27-10 singles record so far in 2017, she is on the verge of a title. In April, Wozniacki reached the finals at the Miami Open. Earlier in the year, she also made finals appearances at both the Dubai Tennis Championships and the Qatar Open.

Another major rankings move came for Angelique Kerber. She is again the world No. 1, replacing American Serena Williams. The American tennis superstar will miss time during her pregnancy.

Caroline Wozniacki reached the world No. 1 position in 2010. At just 26-years-old, the Danish tennis player has plenty of fight left in her. She is still seeking her first ever Grand Slam title. It might come sooner rather than later.

If Wozniacki can remain healthy, she must be considered a player to beat in any WTA tournament.

Her strong play, combined with the absences of both Williams and Victoria Azarenka, give the former world No. 1 a leg up on the competition.

Kerber, despite becoming No. 1 yet again, has struggled in 2017. She must keep an eye on players such as Caroline Wozniacki and Simona Halep as the 2017 WTA Tour continues on. Halep, having just won at Madrid, moves up into the world No. 4 position. Stay tuned to see how action on the 2017 WTA  Tour unfolds.
