The breaks are over for Federer.

As a seven-time champion at Wimbledon, the Swiss superstar is ready to make a run at his eighth title. In order to get there, he will need to deal with the likes of the surging Rafael Nadal among others.

While Federer defeated Nadal to win at Melbourne Park, the Spanish superstar has taken full advantage of the clay court season. Nadal won his tenth title at Roland Garros last week. Now, it seems that players such as Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic will need to contend with both Federer and Nadal.

As it stands right now, Nadal is poised to finish in the world No. 1 position. Murray must watch out for Nadal in the coming weeks.

Djokovic has also seen struggles as of late. He drops from No. 2 to fourth in the rankings after the French Open. Another player to watch is French Open second place finisher and fellow countryman of Federer, Stan Wawrinka. The 32-year-old Swiss tennis player is the current world No. 3 in men’s singles.

Roger Federer kicks off the second half of his 2017 at the Stuttgart Open. He opens against veteran Tommy Haas of Germany. Stay tuned to see how Federer fares throughout the rest of the 2017 ATP World Tour.
