Novak Djokovic drops two places after the French Open. Now, the Serbian tennis superstar must reset and gear up for the second half of 2017.

Novak Djokovic is the current world No. 4 in men’s singles tennis.

Beyond his one title on the year so far, the former world No. 1 has experienced inconsistencies in 2017. Now, Djokovic must reset and aim for a comeback at Wimbledon.

Djokovic is a three-time winner at Wimbledon.

He most recently won the major tournament in 2015 when he defeated Roger Federer. The Swiss tennis star has taken time off to rest up and prepare for the grass court season.

The resurgence of both Federer and now Rafael Nadal is something that Djokovic must overcome. Since late 2016, the Serbian tennis player has not been his usual self.

Earlier this year, he dropped coach Boris Becker and went at his game solo. Djokovic then added Andre Agassi for help during play at Roland Garros. Seeing some success there, the defending champion lost in the quarterfinals to Dominic Thiem.

It has been a full year since Novak Djokovic won a Grand Slam.

While that may not worry most players, Djokovic is a twelve-time Grand Slam champion. He is already among the greatest to ever play the sport of tennis. He, along with Andy Murray, must find their rhythm in the second half of 2017 if they hope to remain top players in men’s singles.

The play of Federer, Nadal, and others such as world No. 3 Stan Wawrinka have Djokovic and Murray on edge. Nadal is currently poised to be the world No. 1 by year’s end. If a comeback can occur for Novak Djokovic, it must begin at Wimbledon. Stay tuned to see how he fares throughout the rest of the 2017 ATP World Tour.
