Roger Federer is back and better than ever. He cruises to another 2017 title at the Halle Open with a win over Alexander Zverev.

Roger Federer wins the 2017 Halle Open.

The Swiss tennis superstar took time away during the clay court season this year to rest and prepare for the second half of 2017.

Federer defeats Alexander Zverev in straight sets. He wins 6-1, 6-3.

In under one hour, the Swiss tennis star claimed the Gary Weber Open title. Zverev, a young rising star in men’s singles, had a strong week at the tournament. He was not, however, any match for the Swiss veteran. Federer now has nine Halle Open titles.

Wimbledon is right around the corner. Federer is a seven-time winner at Wimbledon and must be considered a favorite at the major tournament. After winning the Australian Open earlier this year, he has continued to amaze the tennis world with his play.

Zverev will also be a player to watch during Wimbledon.

The 20-year-old German tennis player already has three titles on the year. In total, Zverev has four titles in his young career. He has proven himself on the ATP World Tour and should remain a top contender in the second half of the year. While Roger Federer will remain a favorite going into Wimbledon, players such as Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic will look to reassert themselves at the upcoming Grand Slam.
