Novak Djokovic must wait to continue his play at the 2017 Eastbourne International. Rain delays stall the Serbian’s opening round match.

Djokovic has one title in 2017.

The 30-year-old tennis player won earlier this year in Doha. He is, however, yet to win a title since the January tournament.

Play at Eastbourne is vital for Djokovic to find his rhythm leading into Wimbledon.

As a three-time winner at the major tournament, the world No. 4 remains one of the top contenders for the title. Getting some much needed reps in this week will be critical leading into Wimbledon.

After playing just one game in his opener against Vasek Pospisil, the match was delayed due to rain. The other ongoing matches of the day were also suspended because of the weather.

As play continues at the 2017 Eastbourne International, Novak Djokovic looks to reassert himself on the ATP World Tour. He will no doubt come out eager to advance when play continues. It is rare for the Serbian to enter a warmup tournament going into Wimbledon.

Stay tuned to see how he fares throughout the rest of the week.
