Murray is a two-time winner at the major tournament.

He first saw victory in 2013 when he defeated Novak Djokovic for the title. Winning in straight sets, Murray claimed the title 6–4, 7–5, 6–4.

His second title at Wimbledon came in 2016.

Murray saw yet another straight set victory that year. The second Wimbledon win came over rising star Milos Raonic. While the championship match included two tie-break sets, Murray cruised to yet another victory at the major tournament.

The 2016 Wimbledon title is Murray’s most recent Grand Slam victory.

While he remains the world No. 1, he is fighting hard to fend off the likes of Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer among others. Federer has a strong track record at the Grand Slam. Murray even finished runner-up to the Swiss superstar in 2012. After dropping the first set, Federer cruised to a four set win over Murray.

With just days to go before play at Wimbledon, it is critical for Andy Murray to prepare mentally. He is not only fighting to remain the top player in men’s singles tennis, but he is defending his title. The current champion Murray will need to play his best tennis if he hopes to taste victory yet again. Stay tuned to see how he fares at Wimbledon 2017.
