Tsonga defeats Simone Bolelli of Italy in straight sets. The world No. 10 takes the match, winning 6-1, 7-5, 6-2.

The straight set victory comes after his initial three-set win in the opening round. There, he defeated Cameron Norrie 6-3, 6-2, 6-2. Tsonga is cruising through the early rounds of Wimbledon.

At 32-years-old, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga has the experience to make a run at a major tournament.

He’s previously appeared in the semifinals twice at Wimbledon. In 2011 and 2012, Tsonga made his deep runs at the tournament. Now, he aims to go beyond.

Tsonga is seeking his first ever Grand Slam title. While he is without the elusive major tournament win, he also has a finals appearance at the 2008 Australian Open to go along with several semi and quarterfinals meetings.

The French tennis star has reached as high as the world No. 5 ranking in his career. With his big tournament experience, he matches up against any player at Wimbledon 2017. There is no doubt that he is someone to continue watching in the coming days.

Still to play on Wednesday is top seed Andy Murray. The world No. 1 is slated to face Dustin Brown of Germany in his second round match. The Jamaican-German tennis player is a veteran on the ATP World Tour. For Murray, the match is no guarantee. Brown has seen third round appearances at Wimbledon twice in his career. The two players square off Wednesday afternoon.

Stay tuned to see how Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and others fare at Wimbledon 2017.
