Coming into play at Wimbledon, the 27-year-old Nishikori was the world No. 9 in men’s singles tennis. His third round appearance is one shy of his best performance at the Grand Slam. In both 2014 and 2016, the Japanese tennis star reached the fourth round at the major tournament.
The day, however, goes in favor of Roberto Bautista Agut.
In 2015, Bautista Agut reached the fourth round to face Swiss superstar Roger Federer. He fell in straight sets to the eventual runner-up, but proved that he belonged on court with the best in men’s singles. Now, he has a chance to surpass that 2015 performance.

Up next for Roberto Bautista Agut is seventh seed Marin Cilic.
The Croatian tennis star defeated American Steve Johnson in their third round meeting. Now, he faces Bautista Agut on Monday at Wimbledon. Cilic has reached the quarterfinals at Wimbledon three times in his career, including last year. He is the current world No. 6 in men’s singles tennis and has one US Open title to his name.
