By Harry Floyd
Roger Federer is the highest seed in men’s singles remaining at Wimbledon. He is also the last of the ‘Big Four’ still in contention for the title.
Roger Federer emerges as the last of the Big Four still alive at Wimbledon 2017. The Swiss tennis superstar is the third seed this year at the Grand Slam.
Up next for Federer is Tomas Berdych in the semifinals on Friday. He is without a doubt the favorite to win the entire tournament right now.

With a beyond impressive seven Wimbledon men’s singles titles to his name, Federer is poised to earn an eighth this year.
Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, and Andy Murray are all out of the tournament. Djokovic was forced to retire due to injury in the quarterfinals. Nadal and Murray were both upset. The French Open champion saw a fourth round exit and Murray was upset by Sam Querrey in the quarterfinals.
Roger Federer is two matches away from an eighth Wimbledon title.
At 35-years-old, it seems almost impossible that Federer would be the favorite to win Wimbledon.
Despite his age, the Swiss tennis great is yet to drop a single set at Wimbledon. His most difficult moment thus far may have been the third set tiebreak with Milos Raonic in the quarterfinals. Federer, however, wins his quarterfinals match in straight sets still. He takes the meeting with Raonic 6-4, 6-2, 7-6 (7-4).
Looking at their career head-to-head, Federer is 18-6 against Berdych.
The Swiss player appears dominant throughout his career against the younger Czech. While Berdych has earned six wins off of Roger Federer, you have to go all the way back to 2013 to find his most recent win over him. Berdych will need all the momentum he can get in his semifinals meeting with Federer. Semifinals action in men’s singles continues on Friday at Wimbledon. Stay tuned to see how the action unfolds at Wimbledon 2017.
