The semifinals are set at the 2017 Shenzhen Open.

Goffin will square off against Henri Laaksonen of Switzerland. The Swiss-Finnish tennis player is the current world No. 107 in men’s singles tennis. He will be a heavy underdog against the second seed.

David Goffin is seeking his first ATP singles title on the year.

The Belgian tennis star is the current world No. 12 on the ATP World Tour. His 40-18 singles record on the year even helped him achieve a career high ranking of No. 10 in February. Goffin appears poised to win a title and it could be this week at the Shenzhen Open.

The other semifinals meeting is between Damir Dzumhur and Alexandr Dolgopolov. Both players are seeded this week and have seen success on the 2017 ATP World Tour. If Goffin can advance to the finals, it will not be an easy matchup.
