David Goffin continues to improve his chances of qualifying for the 2017 ATP Finals in London.
The loss is a disappointment for Jack Sock. The young American star is the current world No. 23 in men’s singles tennis. He has, however, faded since roughly the beginning of August. While his 2017 ATP World Tour will not end as originally expected, Sock will undoubtedly be back strong early next year.
As for Goffin, his meeting with Federer carries plenty of weight. The semifinals features the top four seeded players this week at the Swiss Indoors. While Cilic and Federer may be the favorites, both Juan Martin del Potro and Goffin are playing to qualify for action in London. Goffin will bring his best tennis to his semifinals match with Federer.
