Isner currently sits in the world No. 13 position. While his early exit from the Vienna Open eliminates his chances of qualifying for the 2017 ATP Finals, the American tennis veteran can rest assured that he had a strong year on the courts.

John Isner earned two ATP singles titles in 2017, bringing his career total to 12.

The American drops his Vienna opener to Philipp Kohlschreiber of Germany. The German tennis veteran is currently in the semifinals at the ATP World Tour event. Isner, however, can be proud of his strong run so far this year.

At the Hall of Fame Tennis Championships in Newport, Rhode Island, John Isner earned his first ATP singles title on the year. The win brought him back into the spotlight in American men’s singles tennis. With young up and comer Jack Sock fading in the second half of 2017, Isner became the American player to beat on the ATP World Tour.

John Isner added yet another singles title at the 2017 Atlanta Open. The American defeated fellow countryman Ryan Harrison in the finals. The title win for Isner would become his fourth at the ATP event and his 12th career singles title on tour.

With a 35-20 ATP singles record on the year, Isner has become a prominent name in men’s singles tennis again. Look for him to make several deep tournament runs next year. The American tennis star still has what it takes and should not be discounted by anyone on tour.
