In 2017, Sock earned three ATP singles titles. Among those was his first ever Masters 1000 win in Paris. The title thrust him into a position to qualify for the end of year ATP Finals in London.

Jack Sock remains in search of wins over the Big Four in men’s singles tennis.

While the concept of the Big Four is without a doubt changing, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal continue to top the rankings in men’s singles tennis. Nadal ends the year as the world No. 1 with Federer right behind him.

Sock is 0-4 throughout his career against both Federer and Nadal. He has played Novak Djokovic just once and is yet to play Andy Murray. These four players, however, are not the only ones Sock must contend with. The ATP Finals in London saw several of Sock’s peers such as champion Grigor Dimitrov, Alexander Zverev, David Goffin and Dominic Thiem in action. This younger generation will be just a difficult to face as the veteran greats.
