The WTA Finals win is huge for Wozniacki. While she reached the world No. 1 ranking in women’s singles in 2010, she is yet to win a major tournament title. Now, with a WTA Finals win under her belt, she can focus toward a Grand Slam in 2018.

Caroline Wozniacki ends the 2017 WTA Tour as the world No. 3 in women’s singles tennis.

Consistent play throughout the year setup Wozniacki to qualify for the end of year tournament. Interestingly enough, the Danish tennis star claimed just two singles titles on the year.

Coming out strong in the early months of the year, Wozniacki found herself in a number of finals matches. She was more the runner-up at the start of the year however. Finding her rhythm, she and others such as Simona Halep emerged as the players to beat on the 2017 WTA Tour. At Wimbledon this year, Wozniacki again tied her career best performance of reaching the fourth round of play. Prior to Wimbledon, she even made it to the quarterfinals at the French Open.
