Caroline Wozniacki is into the fourth round at the 2018 Australian Open. The Danish tennis star is seeking her first ever Grand Slam title.

Caroline Wozniacki is the second seed this year at Melbourne Park.

She is coming off of a WTA Finals win in Singapore at the end of 2017. Carrying her newfound momentum right into 2018, Wozniacki is off to a fantastic start on the WTA Tour. She faces Magdaléna Rybáriková next at the Australian Open.

Wozniacki is yet to win a Grand Slam singles title. While she has tasted the world No. 1 ranking before, she does not have the elusive major tournament win. She is a former finalist at the US Open and now, the WTA Finals victory could give her the boost that she needs to take home a Grand Slam title.

Two of her matches so far at the Australian Open went in straight sets. The other, a match against Jana Fett, went to a third and final set that saw Wozniacki battle back for the win. She showed to resilience against the 21-year-old Croatian tennis player, roaring back to victory.

Caroline Wozniacki is poised to win a Grand Slam in 2018.

Even if it doesn’t come at Melbourne Park, a major title could be coming very soon for Wozniacki. There is no doubt that she will remain atop the rankings and should be a contender in all of this year’s major tournaments. She is the current world No. 1 in women’s singles tennis just behind Romanian Simona Halep. The world No. 1 remains alive this month at Melbourne Park. She faces American Lauren Davis in the third round later today.
