Novak Djokovic posted a #TBT photo to Instagram this week. The Serbian superstar takes it back to the “early days” of tennis.

Novak Djokovic takes to social media this week to acknowledge his “early days” in the sport. Taking on throwback Thursday, Djokovic posted a photo of him hitting on the courts as a kid. While fans and players are awaiting any news regarding his right elbow injury, Nole appears to be in a good mindset moving forward.

The Serbian is a former world No. 1 and found himself in a unique position as the 14th seed this year at the Australian Open. Djokovic is a six-time champion in men’s singles at the Grand Slam event. This year, Swiss great Roger Federer earned his sixth title at the tournament, making it 20 career Grand Slam titles for himself.

Novak Djokovic had a strong outing in his first ATP tournament back since Wimbledon 2017.

While he didn’t win a seventh career title at Melbourne Park, Djokovic did reach the round of 16 this past month. Falling in straight sets to up and comer Hyeon Chung, Djokovic’s right elbow appeared to get the best of him. Up until that match with the young South Korean tennis star, Nole was cruising along at Melbourne Park. He has always been comfortable at the year’s first calendar Grand Slam, but this year he was coming from several months away from competitive action.
