Novak Djokovic: tennis star takes on throwback Thursday

No news is good news regarding Novak Djokovic’s right elbow injury right now. We should know more about his upcoming schedule soon.

Several other top players in men’s singles are dealing with ongoing injuries right now. Like Novak Djokovic, current world No. 1 Rafael Nadal has been playing with a lingering injury. Nadal is addressing a grade one leg injury right now as he takes about three weeks off to rehab and recover. In the meantime, Federer is right on his heels for the top ranking on the ATP World Tour.

If Djokovic can bounce back healthier in his next tournaments, he ought to make a run toward the ATP Top 10 yet again. After his run at the Australian Open, Nole is now the world No. 13 in men’s singles tennis. He is on the verge of the top ten.

Novak Djokovic is a 12-time Grand Slam winner.

A healthy Djokovic by mid-2018, could be an interesting pick at either Wimbledon or the US Open. If Nadal is ready to go for the French Open, he must be considered the favorite at Roland Garros. Elsewhere though, Federer and Djokovic will bring their experience to the table come second half of the year. Also attempting a return from injury is Andy Murray. He underwent surgery on his hip and is expecting a return before play at Wimbledon.
