Frances Tiafoe is just 20-years-old and making headlines on the ATP World Tour. The young American tennis player is reaching career heights after his first ever ATP singles title at the Delray Beach Open. He defeats Germany’s Peter Gojowczyk in the finals at the event.
The current world No. 61 in men’s singles tennis, Tiafoe is sure to continue jumping in the rankings in the coming weeks. His strong performance at the 2018 Delray Beach Open is a huge boost for his momentum moving forward. Look for the young American to be an interesting player to watch throughout the rest of the year.
Winning in straight sets during his championship match, Tiafoe takes down Gojowczyk with ease. He wins 6-1, 6-4. While Gojowczyk put up more of a fight in the second set, the American managed to maintain his momentum and close out the match.
