Swiss superstar Roger Federer is visiting the Roger Federer Foundation and its efforts in Zambia during his time away from the tennis courts.
Roger Federer is a world-traveler this week. When he’s not making history on the tennis courts, Federer is giving back to the world community through his charitable endeavors. His own foundation, the Roger Federer Foundation, supports childhood education programs in southern Africa along with his home home country of Switzerland.
The tennis great is in Zambia, visiting several communities and programs involved in the Roger Federer Foundation. He is taking time away from the ATP World Tour as the clay court season is underway. At 36-years-old, he remains arguably the greatest to ever play the sport.
While Federer is checking on his foundation’s programs in Africa, the ATP World Tour is heading toward action at Roland Garros. Rafael Nadal remains the heavy favorite to win yet another title at the upcoming Grand Slam. Earlier this year, Federer took home his 20th career Grand Slam singles title by defeating Marin Cilic in the Australian Open finals.
There is a world beyond tennis. The Roger Federer Foundation is hard at work, empowering youths by providing them with equitable access to education.
