Posting to her social media accounts, Kerber reassured fans that she is remaining positive and aims to be back on the courts as soon as possible. The 2018 WTA Tour has shown her to gunning for the top of the rankings yet again. While 2016 was a fantastic year for the German tennis star, she stumbled last season before finding her stride again in recent months. Now, Kerber is proving that she continues to be a player to beat in women’s singles tennis. She defeated Petra Kvitova in Stuttgart before retiring in her second match.
