Right now, defending champion and heavy favorite Rafael Nadal remains alive. He is searching for his 11th career title at Roland Garros. Nadal completed La Decima last year when he won his 10th title at the French Open. The King of Clay is the player to beat, but some such as Cilic could pose a threat. Others in action include Novak Djokovic, Kei Nishikori, Alexander Zverev, and Juan Martin del Potro. That’s just to name a few.
Even though action at Roland Garros is advancing to the later rounds, several talented players complete a tough field in men’s singles.
Marin Cilic takes on world No. 18 Fabio Fognini next at the 2018 French Open. Fognini is fresh off of an unexpected five-set victory over rising star Kyle Edmund.
