Katie Boulter is having what may be her best year to date. The young tennis star reaches her first ever WTA quarterfinals match.

Katie Boulter is a rising star in women’s singles tennis. The 21-year-old is among the best British tennis players right now on the WTA Tour. She has previously seen plenty of ITF success throughout her young career, but is now also making headlines on the WTA Tour. Boulter defeats US Open champion Samantha Stosur this week to reach her first ever WTA quarterfinals match. She takes down the tennis star and veteran legend in 7-6 (6) 6-1.

Facing Ashleigh Barty next at the Nottingham Open, Boulter can continue to reach career heights if she can continue her current momentum.

Barty, like Boulter, is just one of dozens of rising stars on the WTA Tour. Women’s singles tennis is experiencing some fantastically competitive fields as of late. With Simona Halep winning her first career Grand Slam, she leads a new generation of players into the spotlight.
