Novak Djokovic is your 2018 men’s singles winner at the Wimbledon Championships. He defeats Kevin Anderson 6-2, 6-2, 7-6 (3).

Novak Djokovic is now a 13-time Grand Slam singles champion. The Serbian superstar is a former world number one and had won three Wimbledon titles prior to action in London this year. He became one of the greatest the sport has ever seen in recent years. Rounding out the Big Four, which consisted of Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, he and Andy Murray took over men’s singles tennis. Then, injury struck several of the Big Four along with other top veterans.

Now, Djokovic is gaining more and more consistency as the weeks go by. His hard work appears to have culminated at exactly the right time.

Djokovic defeats Anderson for the Wimbledon title on Sunday. Winning in straight sets, he cruised to victory. In the third set, the towering South African did put up a strong fight but it was too little too late. Nole already had his sights set on the win. Looking at his prior Wimbledon wins, Djokovic hadn’t won since 2015. He’d won just one Grand Slam after that, taking the 2016 Australian Open. The past two years have largely seen the former world number one battling ongoing injuries and taking time away to be with his family, recover, and plot out his coming years.

Novak Djokovic is back to his old self on the ATP World Tour. It has been a long time coming, but the work is paying off. He defeats Kevin Anderson in straight sets to win the men’s singles title at the 2018 Wimbledon Championships.

Even in the round of 32, Nole found himself face to face with one of the best up and coming players on the ATP World Tour in Kyle Edmund. His 2018 Wimbledon title is extremely well-deserved and one must think he will look to add a few more slams to his resume before it’s all said and done.
