Alexander Zverev is now in a career high ranking in men’s singles tennis. But where can the rising tennis star go from here?

Rising star Alexander Zverev has become a household name in men’s singles tennis. As it stands while writing this, just Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal sit ahead of the young German in the men’s singles rankings. Both Federer and Nadal are Grand Slam winners on the 2018 ATP World Tour. To kick off the year, Federer won yet another Australian Open title and Nadal claimed his 11th Roland Garros title. Right behind them though, is Zverev.

On the year so far, the world number three has two ATP singles titles. He is also in action at the Washington Citi Open and has found himself in the semifinals. Another singles win appears to be on the horizon whether it happens in Washington or elsewhere.

Time will tell whether Alexander Zverev can outdo even the greatest in men’s singles tennis. After both Federer and Rafa and took titles at the first two Grand Slam events of the year, Novak Djokovic went on to take yet another title at the 2018 Wimbledon Championships. Zverev remains in search of his first career singles win at a major tournament.
