Roger Federer Continues Dominance Over Stan Wawrinka

Roger Federer defeats fellow countryman Stan Wawrinka yet again. He appears to have Stan the Man’s number on the courts.
Roger Federer advances at the 2018 Cincinnati Masters. He does so as he defeats fellow countryman and star tennis player Stan Wawrinka. Stan the Man is a three-time Grand Slam singles winner himself. He is easily one of the top veteran players in the game right now. It is Federer, however, who has maintained his ongoing edge over Wawrinka.
In Cincinnati, Federer reaches the semifinals, defeating Wawrinka in a tough three-set thriller. While Stan the man put up a tremendous fight, it was not enough to knock out Federer. The 20-time Grand Slam winner has a 21-3 career record on the ATP World Tour against Wawrinka.

Federer’s continued dominance over Wawrinka reflects his overall performance on the ATP World Tour as of late. The Swiss legend is your 2018 Australian Open champion. He has also traded off the world number one ranking with Spanish superstar Rafael Nadal. The King of Clay went on to win his 11th career French Open singles title and carried his momentum into the recent weeks.
Federer, taking time away during the clay court season, is resting up for his lead-in to the US Open. At Wimbledon this year, Federer also put on an impressive run, but ultimately fell to Kevin Anderson in the quarterfinals. Novak Djokovic would win yet another title at Wimbledon this year.
Roger Federer is always a good sport, posting to social media about his match with Stan Wawrinka following the victory. The two have put on some fine displays throughout their careers, but is is Federer who remains dominant in the head-to-head.
Roger Federer ought to continue his battle with Rafael Nadal for the world number one position on the ATP World Tour.
