Just like Chung, the 23-year-old Brit had an excellent semi-final run at the Australian Open, winning two matches in five sets, so he’s comfortable going the distance. This helped Edmund to get to a career high of 16 in the world. His coach Fredrik Rosengren has helped him to become a more aggressive player as well as improve his body language on court.

Edmund’s huge serve and forehand will make him a danger at the US Open, however his form in America has been indifferent so far. He’s only won a single match since Wimbledon. Hopefully he can gain some momentum at Winston–Salem to take into the US Open.
