Kei Nishikori Bound For 2018 US Open Semifinals

In a rematch with his 2014 US Open finals opponent, Japanese tennis star Kei Nishikori emerges on top this time. Now, he enters the semifinals.
Kei Nishikori enters the semifinals at the 2018 US Open. He advances, defeating Croatian tennis star and former champion Marin Cilic. Back in 2014, Cilic won the title in men’s singles at Flushing Meadows. During the finals that year, he took down Nishikori 6–3, 6–3, 6–3.
The Japanese tennis star is once again inching closer to a grand slam title shot. He awaits his semifinals opponent.

The first semifinals match in men’s singles is set. Defending champion and Spanish superstar Rafael Nadal takes on Juan Martin del Potro on Friday. Nadal is the major tournament’s top seed this year and Del Potro is the number three seed.
The other quarterfinals match to determine who will round out the semis with Nishikori features Novak Djokovic and John Millman. The 29-year-old Australian pulled off the upset of all upsets, knocking out Swiss great Roger Federer in a four-set epic. Millman outperformed Federer on a hot night at Flushing Meadows.
Kei Nishikori has reached one grand slam final throughout his impressive career. That came during the 2014 US Open. After bouncing back from ongoing injuries at the start of the ATP World Tour this year, the Japanese tennis star is reemerging as a top contender in men’s singles.
As action at the 2018 US Open rolls on, all eyes are on the semifinals. Once Djokovic and Millman settle their score in the quarterfinals, Kei Nishikori and the other three remaining players will vie for a spot in the finals.
