Jack Sock can use Laver Cup as rebound event for 2018

Team Europe and Team World face off this week in Chicago at the Laver Cup and American tennis star Jack Sock is at the center of the action.
Jack Sock has not experienced the year he wanted so far on the 2018 ATP World Tour. That means that he is looking ahead to 2019 already. With the Laver Cup going down this week in Chicago, Sock should use this event as a chance to regain some confidence in his game. As a non-ATP World Tour event, the Laver Cup features some of the best payers in the world. Team Europe is the defending champion, winning the maiden edition last year.
Roger Federer stunned the field and put on quite the performance last year. He ought to be considered the player to beat again this year in Chicago.

Day 1 at the 2018 Laver Cup features plenty of the young American tennis star. He is in action in both men’s singles and doubles. In his singles match, Sock faces off against British up and comer Kyle Edmund.
The British star should be considered the favorite given Sock’s track record as of late, but the American has seen flashing of brilliance in doubles. His doubles meeting with partner Kevin Anderson, however, pits them against tennis legends Federer and Novak Djokovic.
Jack Sock went 2-1 in his doubles matches last year at the Laver Cup. He needs to utilize his time in Chicago as a rebounding event for the rest of his 2018 tour. While the Laver Cup does not impact his position on the ATP World Tour, it’s a chance to gain some momentum and hone in on his game against some of the world’s best.
