Laver Cup Predictions: Roger Federer Poised To Impress

Laver Cup action is underway this week in Chicago. The second iteration of the event is set for Roger Federer to repeat last year’s impressive run.
Roger Federer is one of many stars headlining Team Europe this year at the 2018 Laver Cup. Last year, he put on quite the performance at the maiden outing. Team Europe would end up defeating Team World 15-9 and it was Federer leading the pack. He ended his 2017 run with a 2-0 singles record and 1-0 doubles record. His performance earned the team seven points.
The Laver Cup features some of the best players from around the world. Competing as Team Europe and Team World, it’s a fantastic three days of tennis.

This year, the Laver Cup action goes down in Chicago, United States at the United Center. Also on Team Europe alongside the Swiss legend is recent Wimbledon and US Open champion Novak Djokovic. He and Federer are among the veteran greats on the team. The rest of their teammates are some of the best rising stars on the ATP World Tour.
Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic are set for a Day 1 doubles match against Kevin Anderson and Jack Sock. The American Sock has seen unprecedented doubles success on the 2018 ATP World Tour, but the edge has to be given to Federer and Djokovic.
Sock is also in action in singles on Day 1. Look for Federer to warm up his game in the opening day doubles meeting with the young American and the South African veteran. Djokovic too ought to be poised for a strong three days of tennis. He has been fantastic as of late and should be considered the heavy favorite heading toward the end of year ATP Finals in London.
