Next Gen Player No. 7 – Hubert Hurkacz

Poland’s Hubert Hurkacz has had a phenomenal year, having started at 238 in the world to now be at 85 is a great effort. The 21-year-old has been solid on the Challenger Tour all year, winning two. His first tile was in his native Poland where he beat Taro Daniel in the final 6-1 6-1. He also won in Brest which secured his entry to the top 100.

He qualified for three out of four grand slams this year, reaching the second round in Paris and New York and the first at Wimbledon. He’s six-foot five inches tall which means he has a big serve and a powerful game which suits this format well.
