Angelique Kerber Remembers 2018 Wimbledon Win

WTA Tour star Angelique Kerber takes time during the offseason to look back and reflect on one of the biggest wins of her career.

Angelique Kerber adds yet another grand slam singles title to her stellar career. The 30-year-old tennis star skyrocketed in the singles rankings back in 2016 when she took wins at Melbourne Park and then at Flushing Meadows. Her Australian and US Open titles made her a household name in women’s singles tennis. Now, she is among the most elite athletes in the sport.

The 2018 WTA Tour featured Kerber entering somewhat of a career resurgence. The German took to social media to reflect on her Wimbledon Championships singles title this year.

The path to greatness does not stop with another grand slam title for Kerber. She is eager to get back to work and hits the courts on the 2019 WTA Tour. This past year saw her resurgence along with other veterans making moves such as Petra Kvitova. Romanian tennis star Simona Halep and Caroline Wozniacki also made massive impacts on the tour.

Angelique Kerber defeats American tennis legend Serena Williams at the 2018 Wimbledon Championships. Her grand slam title in London completes a dream that the German has always had.
