Dominic Thiem is one of the rising stars in men’s singles tennis. Along with the likes of recent ATP Finals champion Alexander Zverev, David Goffin, Kyle Edmund, Hyeon Chung, and others, Thiem represents the next generation of great players on the ATP Tour. He is already rising in the singles rankings, having gone as high as the world number four ranking.
With the 2019 ATP Tour right around the corner, Thiem is wrapping up his preseason workouts and training. HERE, the young Austrian posts a video to social media to showcase a trick shot worth seeing. He is ready for the coming year.

The 25-year-old Thiem has 11 ATP singles titles to his name. Three of those came this past year on tour. He is poised to break back into the ATP Top five in the very near future and could possible threaten his previous high of world number four. As it stands right now, 2019 sees Novak Djokovic entering as the favorite, but there are plenty of players on his heels.
Trick shots aside, Thiem has proven that he has what it takes to compete with the best in men’s singles tennis. In 2018, he reached the finals at Roland Garros, falling to perennial champion and tennis superstar Rafael Nadal.
The King of Clay is, however, entering the later years of his career and Thiem could be just the player to takeover the clay court season when Nadal is gone. Look for the young Austrian to push toward another Grand Slam final in the coming year.
Off the tennis courts, Dominic Thiem is dating WTA star Kristina Mladenovic and the two are the perfect couple. On the courts, he looks as good as ever and should be someone to watch on the 2019 ATP Tour. The Australian Open is the first major of the upcoming year and, while Djokovic will be the favorite, Thiem has reached the fourth round of action the previous two years. He could easily outperform himself at Melbourne Park.
