2 – Daniil Medvedev at the 2019 Australian Open

Daniil Medvedev is an extremely talented player, with the young Russian winning three titles last year and reaching the final in Brisbane a few weeks ago. As with the majority of players on this list, he needs to start getting results in grand slams now and his seeding of 15 should help him to do that at the Australian Open this year.

The 22-year-old is in the same section of the draw as Novak Djokovic which should be an entertaining fourth round should both players get there. Djokovic is the heavy favorite to take the title this year, followed by Roger Federer, but Medvedev could pose a threat should he reach the world number one in the fourth round.
